I’m a little late with my love list since I unplugged from my electronics pretty much all weekend. It’s been so cold here! It was -16 (farenheit) this morning when I got up. I was so glad my car started. Anyway, here are some things I loved from last week:
Lorraine Watry’s watercolor tutorial series on Youtube is giving me some pointers for my painting.
This decomposition series seen on Knithacker is just so cool.
Kris Percival’s Warmest Mittens pattern is keeping me warm and unstressed (easy mindless knitting).
Martha Beck’s piece in the new February Oprah Magazine about dealing with runs of bad luck is inspiring me. It’s not online yet but you can check out her other articles here or pick it up at the newsstand. I don’t much like women’s magazines but February’s issue was one I actually enjoyed.
Dr. Feelgood’s Chocolate Cake, from Crescent Dragonwagon’s cookbook The Passionate Vegetarian. Yeah I’m totally a failed vegetarian but I love this book, the recipes are yummy. My kid requested this dessert. It’s our favorite. It’s easy and delicious and I always have the ingredients on hand anyway, and it satisfies even chocoholics like me.
Hope you have a good week!
